bone regeneration while RCT

last month i had a case where the patient 35/female had pain in 46. on radiograph i saw some inter-radicular bone loss with peri apical radiolucency . i started off the root canal treatment by access opening and found 3 canals. at the same time i used a periosteal elevator and reflected the buccal gingiva. i saw severe bone loss. also there was granulation tissue.
i used a curette to remove the granulation tissue and flushed the area with saline and placed the sutures. gave a formocresol dressin in the tooth and recalled the patient in a weeeks time.

in the subsequent visits i completed the RCT with no pain remaining. at the end of 3 weeks i did a radiograph and was genuinely surprised to see that the interradicular bone has reformed. i am now waiting to see post op radiographs after 6 months
